Family is another word for connection, love and belonging.
You are born into a family. They protect you and nurture you until you are able to care for yourself. This does not always happen, and the original family is replaced by others who choose to take on this responsibility for their own reasons. When family works, it is a good system that cares for the young and helpless, using love to connect and teach the skills needed to survive.
When family becomes something else and there is little love, much damage can be done to a young psyche. This is when the angels step in and work their miracles. The love of God is always available, but it is difficult if not impossible for a person who has not experienced love to feel it. It just takes one experience of love for that child from a person, an animal, even love from afar can work. One person can change the life of a child.
Once a person has experienced love from another, they can connect to God’s love. The love of God is so powerful and cleansing but it cannot be felt without some kind of love from another person to open the heart. This is to make sure love survives on this earth. If one person carries it, then two people experience it and then four and it continues until the world is full of love.
But there are places where love is shut out, where love is left at the door, where love is frightening and avoided. This is where you come in, a person with a functioning heart that is open and able to connect. This is what you are meant for, to search out the hearts that are not open, that are living without love. These are the hearts you can help.
If you have love in your heart, you can connect to another heart. It may take time and effort, but the experience will change both of you. Hearts are meant to be open. Love is meant to be shared. Take this challenge and share your love with another, perhaps someone whose original family did not connect with them in love. Or someone who’s love was extinguished by cruelty and hatred, someone who is frightened of loving.
This is who you can help. Find someone you can connect to and do it. Open your heart, be kind and let love do what it will. Let love out of your heart and help create family for those who have none.
