In love, as in all things, there is an opposite, fear. The absence of love is fear, emptiness, a hollow feeling. Love fills the heart to bursting, fear empties it. When love is denied, it can turn into another form of fear which is hate. Hate is simply frustrated love. Fear is no love.
People who have not been shown love in their lives are fearless. They will do anything because nothing that can happen to them can be worse than having no love. Having no love is the worst thing that can happen to a person. Even if a person is ill or has lost the use of their body, if they have love they will be better off than the richest person who has none.
Count the love in your life as pure gold. Pursue love in all its forms. The love of dancing, music, nature, beauty, animals, traveling, all these are worthwhile. The love of another person is like the sun, it cannot be celebrated enough. The love of oneself, however, is the key to the rest. With your own heart open and full of love for yourself, it would be impossible not to connect with others or to notice the beauty of the stars or a single leaf.
With all this love surrounding you, the love of Spirit inside you and all your love expressed, there is a feeling of oneness with all, a feeling of connection to and with the Divine. It is as if you were a part of it and yet so closely connected that no part could be classified as other. This is the way home. This is true love. This is who you really are. Give up the thoughts of separateness and join in with the Divine. You are always divine. It is only an illusion of time and space that allows you to believe you are separate. You are not separate.
Love is within your grasp. It is within your power to love and it has always been. Become aware of this power and use it. Let it loose on the world. Let it go. Let it flow. Let it be in your heart and on your mind. Let it have your soul. Let it guide you through the hard times and let it hold you in the easier times. Keep it with you always and you will be free.
Your open heart shows that you are first and always true to yourself and your heart and spirit lead the way. You are a child of wonder and an adult of dreams and you will find a way to make them all a part of your life. You are full of the love of the universe, full of the light from a thousand suns. You are as ancient as a falling star and as young as a summer’s night. You are the vehicle for love to move and grow on this earth.
Take advantage of this ability you have to love anything and everything. Use it and let it grow. Let love grow. Let spirit lead. It is your heart and yours alone that will shape the world. It can make the world a better place, it can raise the spirits of those around you. It can bring smiles or tears. You decide. Choose the way of the heart. Let love flow through you and into others. Let your heart choose the way.
