There is love in the air. It sings sweetly through the treetops bending the branches and rustling the leaves. The sound is an ancient one that runs through memory, through the heart and into the soul connecting us with the Divine. There are so many ways to the Divine. Whenever you stop and take in a deep breath of air, even that small pause can connect you to Spirit.
Even as small an action as taking one full breath of air can be a connection to Spirit. Practice taking many full breaths during the day and stopping for a moment or two to experience your breath. There is no need to think or do anything special, simply breathe and be. This can be extended in time to several breaths at once without thinking, and then to several minutes of breathing.
Without thinking. It will calm your spirit and help to open your heart. Breathing properly can help you to open your heart and keep it open during difficult circumstances. When the body is breathing and distributing air properly, it is more difficult to upset the calm. When oxygen is flowing plentifully and thoroughly in a balanced measure throughout the body, the mind may remain calm no matter what the disturbing news.
Breathing is like praying. Every breath in says, “I love life.” Every breath out, “Thank you God for my life.” In this way you will discover many wonderful reasons that you are alive. By being thankful for life, reasons for being thankful will manifest. It is important to be thankful first. Then breathe. One focused breath can turn around a life.
How focused is your breathing? Take time today to breathe, even if it is only once. Once is a beginning. Breathe, pray, and be thankful. It is enough to begin the process of opening your heart. Be content with where you are. Work with the people around you. Praise God for what you have now.
Work to open your heart and be thankful for the challenges that come your way. They are designed just for you, and they are designed by you, so do not attempt to go around them or deny them. You must face them squarely, take the punches, do the time, or let them go, but do it now and remember to breathe. It will help you through everything.
Face your problems and breathe. Breathe in life. Breathe out thanks for my life. Let go and love. Your heart will open, and you will be free. Your heart will open, and you will be full. It is so.
