The beginning of something is a good time to reflect, to create, to start in a new direction. It is also a time for an ending, for in a beginning, there is also an ending. To begin a new year is to begin a new minute, a new day, a new hour.
There is no difference. Begin now in this moment to create what you want in your life. If you want more love, be more loving. If you want more giving, give of your self. If you want more harmony, be more harmonious, give in and let others win more often. What is the point of always being right? Most of the time it only separates you from the one you love.
If you want more abundance, look around and recognize and be grateful for the abundance you already have. If you want more connection in your life, be a friend to those in need of one, not to those you need. If you need God in your life, open your heart and listen as the words of God are repeated in your own heart day after day, life after life.
For you are a child of God with the terrible grace and fury of such a child. You can create heaven and you also have the power to create hell. Which will you choose? You are the only one who can decide. It is your true and natural choice in each moment: heaven or hell, love or fear, truth or denial.
What you want in your life determines what you will get. If all you envision is disaster, pain and suffering, it will come to you. If you desire sweet happiness, joy and connection, that, too will be yours. Whatever you choose, you will be right. Whatever you envision will be yours.
This is a curse as well as a wish. It is the crux of human life. It is the paradox and the truth. You must envision your life in fear or love, and you will have it. Pay attention to your thoughts, all your thoughts. The way to true love and connection is to praise God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your life, and you will be full of the love of the universe.
Create your world in love. Create your self in gratitude. Praise God in every breath of life. Praise life. Praise love.
